SITKA ALASKA

This was our view of downtown Sitka, as we walked from the dock to the center of town. We had a great lunch of fresh halibut at a local eatery.
Along the banks of the river in Sitka, we saw numerous bald Eagles. Above right, our bush plane gets ready to take off from Sitka. Below, our plane is ready to take off again and return to Sitka without us. The plane took us around the Island for about 45 minutes and eventually lands in the water and we catch a boat back.
While we were waiting for the boat to begin back to Sitka, we stopped to catch a view of a Alaskan Grizzly bear on the banks of the river. We were pretty far away. This picture was taken with a 600 mm lens.
