This page contains six pictures of Hong Kong. This was the last of the stops for their vacation. They only spent one day here. Hong Kong requires more than one day. They gave it their best.

Ron & Sheila stayed in Kowloon Hong Kong, which was across the harbor from Hong Kong Island. This was a picture of Ron with Hong Kong Island behind him. They were just getting ready to take a ferry across the harbor to the Island.

On our half-day city tour, we took a Junk ride at Aberdeen. As we left the dock, we headed for one of the two floating restaurants seen ahead of us and to the left.

Hong Kong Island has their business/high rise district built right up the the side of the mountains. We took the funicular up to the top of the mountain to Victoria Peak. This was part of our tour. Later in the day, we came back on our own and had dinner at Victoria Cafe on Victoria Peak. Great view and perspective. You end up slightly higher than their skyscrapers.

A Junk in Aberdeen Harbor.

Several Junks in Aberdeen Harbor. These are peoples homes. Our Junk tour took us around these homes.

This was a view down the street from the Park Hotel where we stayed in Kowloon, Hong Kong. Note the signs that create a canopy over the streets. These light up at night. Kowloon was the place for shopping. Ron ended up buying a camera there for a significant discount. Broadway camera is the place to go. No negotiating, but after comparing their prices to other places, they were the lowest in town.
